In the Reserve Section Rick Quesada pulled off an impressive streak of 5 straight wins to take a clear first place for his section. Dr Awais Khan, thanks to a little trickery in the final game of the event, managed a draw in a hopeless position and that was enough for him to earn the 2nd place in the reserve section and Benjamin Levy scored 3 points to take home the best U1200 - congratulations to all the winners and to all of the players for coming out to help the Tucson Chess Center.
On Friday at 7 PM we will be holding a meeting of all those who wish to see the Tucson Chess Center maintain our successful ways in light of the news that founder Rob Keough will soon be leaving us for work in Europe.
