Join us next week for Green Drinks Tucson monthly gathering of our local environmental community!

Thursday, July 16
5:30 – 7:30 PM
MotoSonora Brewing Company

This month’s speaker is Rebecca Perez from The Wilderness Society!

Rebecca joined the Wilderness Society in 2023 and serves as the Arizona Conservation Manager. Rebecca values community, land, and environmental justice, asserting that public spaces should be places for healing and reconciliation for communities of color. Rebecca joined The Wilderness Society after working as an environmental educator for several years. As an educator, she aimed to create an inclusive and fun learning environment that fosters building relationships with the community and land. As Program Manager at TWS, she connects communities to resources that promote intersectional access to public land. She also advocates for conservation that centers environmental justice and the needs of historically excluded communities.

About The Wilderness Society
The Wilderness Society is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1935 by visionary conservation leaders who believed America’s public lands and wilderness should be protected for everyone and cared for as a shared public good. TWS believes these lands should remain protected, accessible and shared by all of us, sustaining clean water, wildlife habitat, outdoor traditions and the freedom to experience the outdoors. Through science, advocacy, policy expertise and partnerships, TWS works to protect the public lands people rely on today and safeguard them for future generations. For more than 90 years, TWS has helped protect nearly 112 million acres of public lands across the United States and helped secure landmark conservation victories, including the Wilderness Act of 1964.
