Introducing our next maker - Desert Rat Stitchings!
Max, the skilled hands behind the designs, creates cross-stitched and embroidered magnets and wall décor that turn simple fiber into expressive, handmade art. Desiring to express their creative ideas - and finding that drawing was just not cutting it - Max started stitching in 2019. This medium has been transformative, and through embroidery, Max found not only the ability to express their artistic visions - they’ve also learned to be more patient with themselves. Talk about a rewarding medium! On top of their delightful hand-stitched creations, Max has spent the last 6 months teaching themselves block printing - something that has helped them gain more confidence in their drawing abilities as well as expand their creativity. For Max, it’s all about experimenting, learning, and proving that through it all, practice is the secret sauce to self-expansion 🧵 We love their commitment to themselves and their creative practice, and we just know you’ll be delighted by their current collection. Meet Max, grab a hand-stitched cutie, and say hi to the rest of our talented creatives at Desert Air Market on March 7th (this Saturday!) from 11 am to 5 pm!

Introducing our next cool carver, Emma Radulski Art!
After Emma and her partner decided to put down roots in Tucson, she found herself seeking something creative and tactile, and serendipitously stumbled upon the perfect thing: her high school block print of a bee and honeycomb. Remembering how much she’d loved those art classes (shout out to educators!), Emma quickly set up a home studio, and her headfirst dive back into printmaking was a resounding success. Working primarily in linocut (linoleum relief printmaking), Emma now creates detailed, whimsical, and joyful art inspired by nature, q***r identity, and the beauty of the human form. They don’t limit themselves to any particular theme or purpose, instead allowing their passions, life, and emotions to guide their designs - but always creating something born from, and meant to spread, effortless happiness. From initial sketches to the final design, to carving (and carving, and carving), to inking a block for the first time and seeing it on paper - there’s little in life that Emma loves more. This lifelong creator has found their calling, carving out happy designs for the Tucson community, and we can’t wait for you to meet them and peruse their lovely collection. Say hi to Emma and the rest of our lovely artists at Desert Air Market on March 7th from 11am to 5pm!
