In response to a Nationwide call to action and in support of our community members, we will be closing all cafe store fronts on 1/30.
Often times it feels like we should not blur the lines of business and politics.
This is not one of those times.
As a business and as a safe community gathering space, we recognize that we have a voice within our community. We support the right to differing opinions and viewpoints and choose not to impose our views upon others, but we will not stand idly by as our community members live in fear of a growing authoritarian strong arm that threatens the fabric of what makes being an American worthy of its title. What is FREEDOM without our voice and what is humanity without lifting up those who are marginalized.
For us and for other small businesses, this sort of decision is not easy. Rent is due, payroll is due, inventory bills are due. And we choose to forego almost essential Friday revenue for a bigger cause. Because we will not stand by and be silent.

This could not possibly be Evan’s last day at Yellow Brick. He’s been with us for 3 years now and has worn many hats. We know him best as our trusty Roaster. The man behind the beans. Outside of the roastery, he is our training and he jumps on bar once a week or so, pouring beautiful cappuccinos and making the dance between workflow and quality look easy.

Before Yellow Brick, he was at where he became a Q Grader and won 2nd place for roasting in the U.S. Coffee Championship. He carried those titles over after moving to AZ from CO and brought so much knowledge and dedication to improving coffee in Tucson.

Thank you for your attention to detail and quality and for your leadership.
