This Sunday! From 4-7, CCT will be at Tucson Hop Shop taking summer donations for Tucsonans in need and sharing info about what we do and how to get involved.

Come enjoy one of Hop Shop’s ice cold beverages and a portion of sales from the night will go toward CCT!

You can drop off summer donation item in the taproom all week, including:

Reusable water bottles
Electrolyte packets
Warm weather clothes
Hats
Socks
Shoes
Blankets
Sleeping bags
Tents

Community Care Tucson is in need of funds to support our weekly free pet food and supplies station!

A fun fact about CCT is that many of our regular picnic attendees are dogs! You won’t find a cuter, more beloved group of pets than the pack in the park. Meanwhile, lots of our housed guests have dogs and cats at home. Our neighbors’ dedication to caring for their companion animals is so profound and heartwarming, with many even forgoing their own meals so their pets can eat first. If you have a pet yourself, you understand how important this bond is.

Over the past year, a member of the CCT collective started setting up a pet station, with dog, puppy, and cat food, along with dog bowls, leashes, harnesses, boots for the hot sidewalk, and more, to the extent that we can afford it. We even started hosting free monthly vet care thanks to an amazing local partner.

As with CCT’s entire operation, we have seen the need grow dramatically, as more people are struggling to make ends meet and the cost of food is rising. With much of the expense coming out of pocket so far, we are now struggling to cover the cost of the station. We feel that caring for pets and caring for people go hand in hand, and we are committed to keeping this critical service going strong.

We’re seeking to raise $3,000 from the community to ensure we can reliably provide this care for our furry friends.
