July is Chronic Disease Awareness Month, and today we recognize Chronic Disease Awareness Day—a time to raise awareness of the millions of people living with chronic, often invisible health conditions.
These long-term illnesses can impact every aspect of daily life, bringing not only physical challenges but also emotional burdens, uncertainty, and grief. Today, we honor the strength and resilience of those navigating these conditions, support their caregivers, and reaffirm the importance of education, early detection, compassionate care, and continued research to improve health outcomes for all.

We recognize the critical role family physicians play in advancing public health.
Immunizations are among the most successful and cost-effective tools in modern medicine, saving millions of lives each year. Family physicians serve as trusted voices and educators and help create communities of immunity.
The AAFP continues to support you in this work by providing resources to support meaningful, evidence-based conversations with your patients.
