Working on Christmas has its draw backs, but at the same time there is something almost majestic about it.

I go on duty at 6AM, pretty much out my door around 5:30AM. Any other weekday of the year, the streets would already be hustling with traffic on the way to work. But just this one day of the year, nearly nothing. It’s an ominous and almost tranquil silence in our world of constant noise.

Puts into perspective that this isn’t just a holiday of gifts and presents. In a few hours, families will be waking up, children jumping on beds exclaiming “Santa came, Santa came!” Getting home from Church, Mom starts pancakes and bacon, while dad is in the living room getting ready for presents. In just a few hours, no one will be able to silence the joy of the anticipation that has built since we put the tree up…

But right now, at 6AM, nearly every family is at home, in bed, with the same peace as the Shepherds that were greeted by angels in a field over 2,000 years ago.

Merry Christmas my friends! May God richly bless you and your families in the coming year

“8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

After months of prayer, talking with family and friends, and meeting with local leaders, I’m excited to announce that I have filed to run for the Troy Board of Aldermen - Ward 2.

Troy is where I was born, raised, and want to raise my children. Troy is where I call home and where I want others to confidently call their home. This is what has driven me to run for Alderman.

I have served the community for years in many different ways. Whether as a law enforcement officer, member of the local Republican Club and Central Committee, a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, or as a volunteer with The Knights of Columbus, I have the heart and will to serve.

Troy is one of the fastest growing communities in the area. With all this growth comes more expenses. Every new city street, utility, and city employee costs money. We must develop long-term, conservative, transparent plans to efficiently use every development that we have to maintain our public expenses and save our taxpayer dollars.

I want to see our local businesses grow and thrive. I want our local law enforcement to protect Troy with the best funding and training that we can provide. I want our city streets maintained. I want every citizen to be able to afford to live in and call Troy home.

If you want the same Troy that I do, one that grows healthily and still has all of the traditional values that we were raised with, I humbly ask for your vote on April 7, 2026.

Over the next several months, I will be meeting with voters at their doors and local events. If you can support my campaign with a donation, please do so at this link: https://secure.anedot.com/missourians-for-martin/donate
