Kyle Elementary

Today, Tuesday, 5/5/2026, will be an online learning day for our students. Kyle Elementary currently has no power and will be closed for in-person learning today. Our maintenance department is working with AES Ohio to restore power as quickly as possible.

Shuttle bus service between Forest Elementary and Kyle Elementary will continue as regularly scheduled for Forest 3-5 students. Forest Elementary and all the other Troy City Schools will operate on their regular schedules.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and the late notice. We were originally told that power would be restored by 9:00 a.m., but AES informed us that the problem is larger than they anticipated. We will house any children who show up and attempt parent contact from our cell phones as phone service is also down.

25-26 Online Learning Family Start Guide Troy City School utilizes online learning after five calamity days. Day six of a school closure results with online learning for all Troy City Schools students for up to ten days. The following resources are helpful for families as you navigate online learning.

Today, Tuesday, 4/28/2026, will be an online learning day for our students. Your child’s teacher will be in contact by 10:00 a.m. to communicate learning expectations for today.

Kyle Elementary currently has no power and will be closed for in-person learning today. Our maintenance department is working with AES Ohio to restore power as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have in-person learning. AES reports that there are currently 15,000 customers without power in our region.
