If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change.

“Whenever you should doubt your self-worth, remember the lotus flower. Even though it plunges to life from beneath the mud, it does not allow the dirt that surrounds it to affect its growth or beauty.”

5 Tips for sound, restoring sleep

We all have a lot on our minds lately and this can lead to more difficulty falling asleep or sleeping soundly. Here are a few tips to help you get better quality sleep.

1- Eat your dinner several hours before bedtime so as not to go to bed on a full stomach.

2- Avoid electronic devices for at least one hour before bed to give your mind a chance to unwind. You can play relaxing music, do some gentle stretching, take a warm bath...anything that helps you let go of the tensions of the day.

3- Try drinking turmeric milk before bed. Turmeric is a great tonic with purifying, antiviral and digestive effects amongst many other benefits and is often used to promote sound sleep.
You will need: 1 cup of milk(you can use a vegan milk), 1⁄2 cup water and 1⁄2 tsp Turmeric powder. A touch of ghee (clarified butter) and jaggery (raw sugar) is optional. Simply bring the milk, turmeric and water to just below a boil and let it simmer until the water has evaporated. Add the ghee and jaggery if desired and serve.

4- Massage your feet with the Calming Oil. Massage the top, bottom, sides and tip of each toe and the space in between each one of them. Pay special attention to sensitive areas. The Calming Oil is deeply relaxing and grounding.

5- Sit with your eyes closed and listen to a guided meditation before sleep. Click here to listen - https://bit.ly/2WQZRUJ
