Faith Extended: Berea - A Tested Faith
Acts 17: 10-15

Is our faith the “faith of our fathers” or is it our own? Faith cannot live on borrowed conviction forever. At some point, each generation must move from inherited faith to personal faith. We must discover for ourselves that Jesus is worthy of our trust.

Join us this Sunday as we accompany the Apostle Paul to Berea, where a group of seekers eagerly received the gospel and examined the Scriptures daily to see if it was true. Their example reminds us that a faith that extends outward must first take root deeply within. As we celebrate Father’s Day, we’ll consider the greatest legacy we can pass on—not simply faith that is taught, but faith that is truly owned.

Faith Extended: Thessalonica - A Public Allegiance
Acts 17:1-9

It can be easy for Christians to feel comfortable simply believing privately in their hearts that Jesus is their Lord and Savior. But being a disciple of Jesus was never meant to be just an inward belief. We are called to demonstrate a public allegiance to God, even when it causes problems.

When Paul and his companions preached in Thessalonica that Jesus was the Messiah, they were accused of causing trouble. Their outward commitment to follow Christ was turning the world upside down wherever they went, yet they continued to spread the gospel. So where does your allegiance lie? And are you ready for what comes when you live it out?
