We are excited to announce that a new clinician has joined our practice. Please welcome, Jean Perry, LMSW.

Jean earned her MSW from Wayne State University in 2005 with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has worked with children and their families in school settings for more than 15 years. In her private practice, she provides a strengths-based solution focused approach aimed at meeting each person where they are at, while also working to build emotional intelligence and empowering the individual to move toward positive outcomes.

Though her work is largely with children, Jean works with individuals of all ages who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, parenting concerns and relationship difficulties. Her extensive experience in the school setting offers assistance for families navigating the special education process with their children and managing the complex emotions in parenting children with special needs.

She is currently accepting new patients and is providing therapy through our HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Appointments can be made by calling our office at 249-509-7657.

Each week we are going to highlight one of our clinicians in hopes that someone who needs support will find it. This week we are proud to highlight Angela Kudzia, who has been with Nexus since we opened.

Angela has been focused on serving the community throughout her career. She has volunteered teaching self-defense to women survivors of human trafficking, organized fundraisers to feed the homeless, participated in charity events for the special needs community, and is a regular participant in events to raise awareness and donations for ALS.

Angela earned her degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in addiction studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. She employs dynamic and mindfulness-based approaches that are proven effective for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, pain management, addiction, and trauma treatment. Her extensive clinical training coupled with her philanthropic nature has put her in the perfect position to help you navigate the uncharted territory associated with all of life's stressors.

Angela is skilled in using telehealth to safely engage in the therapeutic process and is welcoming new patients. Most insurance companies are covering teletherapy visits, and several have waived copays and deductibles for therapy through the end of June. To make an appointment, please contact our office at 248-509-7657.
