It’s my pleasure to share Betty with you!
We met last week after her eye doctor shared my brochure with her. She shared she’d been searching for something to help her resume her own finances, reading mail and reading for pleasure.

Betty, like so many others today, has macular degeneration and it has complicated many of her daily living tasks. Betty’s friends have been volunteering to help her read her mail, write checks and read cooking instructions. During the visit, the trio was impressive with how easily Betty was able to accomplish all tasks she tried during our appointment.

I received a call from Betty the day after we met, she’d decided she needed the CCTV. Today, she purchased our Acrobat HD LCD 27”, plexiglass paperweight and the XY tray for easy reading and scanning materials.

I assisted her in setting the unit up in her office. She decided to put the machine in front of the window facing the road in front of her house. Until now, she’s been standing at the window watching for friends vehicles pull in the drive. Now, with the 3-1 camera, Betty was able to use the distance viewing to see drive and her mailbox with clarity.

When I left her home she was preparing to read a stack of mail from last week! 😊

Sandy and I met through her retina specialist. Over the last few years she’d been using lighted magnifiers to read small print. Sandy recalls even those magnifiers were not as effective as they once were.

Dorothy is familiar with hand-held illuminated magnifier, but the recent change to a 7x she struggled to read one or two letters at a time.

Today was a wonderful experience for Dorothy, she had recently found a box of old letters between her and her family. She had attempted to read them with her magnifier and was quickly frustrated.

Today, while using the Merlin Ultra 20” she was very amused to read a letter she wrote to her parents when she was only 7 years old and staying with her aunt and uncle on their farm.

She and her daughter were impressed with the easy to move tray and quality image. She found reading enjoyable again!
