What happens when filmmakers, horror fans, cosplay enthusiasts, and comic con energy collide?
This weekend at Motor City Comic Con, attendees became part of “A Public Service Announcement from the Motion Picture Institute” — a live filmmaking experience where the crowd stepped directly onto the set.
Actors. Cameras. Sound. Direction. Chaos. Horror. Fun.
Our team shot the scene live at the convention with audience participation and professional film equipment, giving people a real taste of what hands-on filmmaking feels like at MPI.
Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, participated, acted, screamed, crewed up, or just watched the madness unfold.

Great having the students of Tara Davis from Bedford High School on campus today.
Their Radio/TV Broadcasting and Digital Media group stepped onto our stage and got hands-on — planning, shooting, and directing a live scene.
This is what filmmaking looks like here. Not theory. Real production, real experience.
Appreciate the focus and creativity they brought into the studio.
