CAWP NEW Leadership Fellow Vida Freeman joined CIG today for a busy legislative session day concluding NJ’s budget cycle for FY2027.

We were happy to join Senator Angela V. McKnight and Women in Government’s networking reception for a critical conversation on women leadership and how they impact the budget and policy process.

Opening doors, sharing insight, and giving the next generation a front-row look at public policy in action. CIG was proud to welcome students to shadow our team and take on the New Jersey State House last week. Students had the opportunity to meet with legislators, legislative staff, and other key stakeholders who play a vital role in shaping policy and enacting change across New Jersey. We are excited to help inspire and prepare the next generation of public service leaders.
