Chicks located in Trenton, Ga.

2 week old cream legbars (total of 8 - must take all). I think there are 3 roosters (possibly 4... One chick is hard to tell because it has a stripe but it also has a light dot on the head).

Several older chicks that are off heat and almost fully feathered. Breeds include:

Cinnamon Queen
ISA Brown
Rhode Island Blue
Smokey Pearl

Most are pullets. Not sure of the s*x on Smokey Pearls and Rhode Island Blues.

Pictured on the right are the cinnamon queens and one of the Smokey Pearls. The chicks that are not pictured are a few days older.

We're getting ready to build a mini greenhouse and start a garden. Our last attempts at gardening have failed miserably. We have terrible soil. Evidently years ago our land used to be a junk yard because the ground is full of old spark plugs & all kinds of other junk. There is also an oily sheen to the puddles when it rains a lot. We have decided to give raised beds a try this year and haul in some good organic soil to fill them. We don't do insectcicides or man made fertilizers around here. We prefer using our good ole home grown rabbit poo. We have plenty of it. What we do need are tried & true gardening tips from you folks out there with green thumbs. We're looking for ideas such good companion planting combinations, natural pest control, or anything else that will help us get good yields. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
