Our Back to School Shoes program provides new shoes, socks, school supplies, and vision screenings all free of charge to children from toddler age through 12th grade!

REGISTER NOW! Must reside in one of the 5 counties we serve (Grand Traverse, Benzie, Kalkaska, Antrim, Leelanau), but you can register for any event location.

Mancelona: August 7, 2026
Traverse City: August 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2026

Join us at the East Bay Corners Farmers Market for FREE car seat safety checks provided by Safe Kids North Shore and the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department!

These checks take place on the first Thursday of each month from 2:00–6:00 pm:

• August 6
• September 3
• October 1

No appointment needed—just stop by!
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will review your child’s car seat for proper fit, share state laws and best practices, and help guide installation.
