Back from vacation and sharing this one again!
What a fun little project this one was, and the results reflect the craftsmanship. Solid walnut base beautifully sculpted to support the original 3/4" thick glass top.
If you want to know more about this stunning coffee table or the restoration, check out one of my recent reels about it! I don't want to go through it all again lol
$1750

There's a lot going on outside of furniture and my small little bubble life that I live, and it's got me feeling a wide range of different emotions. Anger, grief, empathy, frustration, confusion, fear, and every other emotion I'm not smart enough to put into words.
So I don't really have a lot to say and don't want to make a post like everything is alright and nothing is wrong, but I worked really hard on this, and I'm proud of this project and still wanted to share it.
A while back I restored a mahogany kidney bean desk for a customer, who's great grandmother had purchased it brand new and passed it down. Well the same customers reached out about a solid maple chair they had picked up that seemed to fit the style and period, but they wanted it restored to match the desk. Well after disassembling every joint, repairing a lot of broken supports, stripping, hand sanding every detail, and then toning and finishing, I'd say that it is a pretty spot on match!
Thanks for looking, thanks for following, thanks for engaging with my posts, thanks for being customers and trusting me with tour purchases and chairished items, and thanks for those that continue to be good people in the face of adversity.

It's not all walnut and teak in MCM furniture!
Sometimes I get the privilege of working on some beautiful birch furniture, and this 8-drawer "Perimeter Group" dresser is amongst the most beautiful!
Made by Winchendon Furniture, and designed by Paul McCobb, one of the most premier, prestigious, and most sought after designers in mid-century modern furniture, this dresser was in "meh" shape when it came to me. It was poorly refinished at some point maybe 10-15 years ago, with whoever did it sanding through the tops edge banding all the way around, leaving the legs all crooked and wobbly, and both using the wrong finish products as well as not using enough to properly protect it.
All that being said, the original rosewood drawer pulls, and all the surfaces were in great shape! Pretty simple project, but a treat nonetheless. Not every project can be a massive transformation! But still, the difference between a piece in good shape, and the same piece after it leaves my shop is WORLDS apart in terms of condition.
This one sold before I had a chance to even post about it, as the customer was looking for this specific piece, and funny enough, I was wrapping it up at the same time! And HOW GOOD does it look?! I'm honored to say that my work is the first piece of furniture in the customer's brand new home!
So when I say "reach out if you're looking for something" I mean it! Reach out, because a lot of my stuff pre-sells before I ever even get to let you all know about it. I'd love to tell you what I've got available, or even talk about what you like, or maybe discuss a commissioned restoration!

I've been making a lot of progress on some big projects lately, and this is one that I was excited to get to!
A Mobican 9 drawer dresser, made in Canada, and made of ROSEWOOD 🥴🫠🤤
What a fun project and such a treat for me! Rosewood pieces like this don't come up very often, and like with most of my projects, I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work on this one.
It came to me with no legs or base, but would have originally come with a plinth style platform base. While that's neat and many people love them, I had the opportunity to make the base whatever I wanted it to be, and I think tall legs just suit this particular dresser so well!
So while, as a furniture refinisher, I'm far from being considered a furniture builder, but making the legs and base was a fun little treat for me! And yes, it's all square and all went according to my poorly drawn plan lol
Anyways, if you want it, or anything else, or want something of your own restored, hit me up!
