Erica gives us a quick lesson on considerations that need to be made when putting an active window into a space that will have tile, stone, or any other material that will build up the height of the jambs.

All of this needs to be planned out in detail as you may have 2-3 subcontractors working on that space and any number of issues can arise if the plan isn’t followed and it all starts with a plan from the Design team!

There are so many pieces that go into designing a home and when you’re working in a space like a kitchen accounting for each one is critical.

Subfloor, underlayment, flooring, cabinet heights, countertop thickness, each one needs to be correct to make sure that everything fits and looks perfect.
