We released an album called "Fragments and Frequencies" after a long hiatus.

In these strange times, when they say there's an issue with attention and focus, and the TikTok generation doesn't watch a video for more than 10 seconds—not to mention reading a long text—at the same time, 2-3 hour-long podcasts are flourishing. And it seems that these two very different audiences coexist in peace and harmony. In any case, as a representative of the old generation, I decided to write a long text as a preface to tell the story of the 9-song album.

Five songs are in the Armenian language, and four are in English. Eight of the nine songs are collaborations with talented friends and musicians. These are songs that were released as separate YouTube singles between 2017 and 2024, and found their place in various domains. Now, they are simply collected together in one complete album. 1. Մառախլապատ (Foggy)
A completely new song. The piano was played and the song was shaped, as always, by maestro Artash Grigorian in Santa Clarita. A part of the recording was done by Ara Dabanjian in Los Angeles. Aaron Stayman recorded the main guitar theme in Seattle. The mastering was done by Paykar Chakhoyan in New York. And the song's video was filmed in July, in the mountains of Goshavank, with talented filmmaker, Hovhannes Ghazaryan! Vivid proof of the planet's small size. 🙂

2. Անմայր (Motherless)
The song was written for the SOAR (Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief) organization in 2017.

3. Պաշտպանիր մեզ (Protect us)
A song from the COVID period of 2020, when we were convinced that masks were effective, [meaning] by protecting myself, I also protect the person opposite me.

4. Երգ ապրողաց (Song of Living)
A collaboration with Armen Movsisyan in 2016, when Armen came to the rescue and we jointly wrote the lyrics of the song. Mher Manukyan also joined, and the three of us sang it.

5. Չհանդիպում (UNMET)
The very talented young man Artak Khojabaghyan from Syunik performs my song "Չհանդիպում" (released in 2001) in a completely unique way. The song received a second life with his performance.

6. Քայլիր ինձ հետ (Walk with me)

The English version of the song is performed by our beloved Vahagn from NEMRA. It was released as a single in 2024.

7. Որմնադիր (MASON)
The original Armenian version of the song is on LAV ELI's "Antsrevashun" (Rain-Dog) album, released in 2018. Here, the song was translated into English and performed by our talented Kristine Kolyan from Vanadzor.

8. Ոչ Մի Բան (Nothing at all)
The original version of the song is on my "YIraz" (Dream) album, released in 2001. In 2005, it was translated into English and performed by Sebu Simonian, finding its place on my first English-language album, "GOR". In this new album, our talented brother Mher Manukyan sings it. The song received a new life again. ☀️

9. Ambergris
If you remember the song "Halyutsinogen" (Hallucinogen) from the "Miatsyal Fantazianer" (United Fantasies) album released in 2008, then the song is already familiar to you. Our guitarist, Aaron, wrote a separate, wonderful English lyric, sang it, and his version was named "Ambergris," which also found a place on his 2022 album, "Diesel and Rhyme." A great version was created. 😎
