Last Monday, Trafford Borough was honored to welcome Congresswoman Summer Lee for a visit and walking tour of Cavitt Avenue as part of ongoing discussions surrounding the Borough’s 2027 federal appropriations request. Review the request here: https://summerlee.house.gov/community-project-funding-fiscal-year-2027

During the visit, Borough representatives, local stakeholders, and business owners had the opportunity to discuss Trafford’s vision for the future of the Cavitt Avenue corridor, including critical infrastructure improvements, economic revitalization efforts, accessibility upgrades, and long-term investment in our business district.

Along the walk, we had the opportunity to meet with local business owners, hear directly about their experiences and goals for the corridor, and even enjoy a brief tour of Dine at Veronica's — one of the many small businesses that help make Trafford special.

The tour provided an opportunity to highlight both the challenges and potential of Cavitt Avenue while sharing how federal funding support could help strengthen local businesses, improve aging infrastructure, and support continued community revitalization efforts in Trafford.

We sincerely appreciate Congresswoman Lee taking the time to visit Trafford Borough, engage with our community, and learn more about the Borough’s priorities and future goals.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped showcase the pride, resilience, and potential of Trafford Borough!
