Lately, I’ve been diving into The Work of Leaders and it’s hitting me: Leadership isn't just a title or a vibe—it’s actual work. Specifically, the work of creating vision, building alignment, and driving ex*****on.

That alignment piece especially stood out to me.

Okay, I'm about to get real vulnerable and tell on myself for a second—lol... 🫣

In the hustle of building Virtual Partner, Reinvigorating Humanity at Work and How She Rises, it’s so tempting to sprint straight toward "Ex*****on" because there’s always something urgent needing attention. But this book was my “pause button.” It was a reminder that when the team isn't fully aligned around the vision, even the most talented people can experience unnecessary friction. You end up just running fast in different directions! 🏃🏾‍♀️💨

Yup, I had to “go slow to go faster” because humans don’t move at the speed of AI!

I love this framework so much that it’s actually the heartbeat of our SheLEADS Momentum program and our executive coaching interventions. My team even administers the science-based assessments to help leaders find their natural gaps in these areas, and yes, everyone in the program gets a copy of this book as a gift! 🎁

While I’m certified to lead this work, I really wanted to just dig into it with a group of interested leaders.
