Ben, it’s so hard to believe you’re gone. That we won’t hear your booming voice or feel another of your bear hugs or be nudged to have one more shot… to keep the moment going just a little longer. Ever welcoming and inclusive, forever the life of the party, our biggest promoter and cheerleader… our #1 hype man, and everyone’s biggest supporter. You were a fireball of energy everywhere you went, always in the front row if you weren’t on stage yourself, happy to support and be a fan. You brought the FUN to everything and with the biggest HEART. You were the glue that kept us together and the driving force behind the band. The weight of missing you is heavy. We were going to celebrate your 55th birthday at your farewell show next Saturday, June 8th which we know you had mixed feelings about but were really looking forward to. It was going to be filled with much fun and certainly tears because you were retiring. Though now there will be tears for a sadder reason… your ultimate retirement. Too soon, Friend, too soon… Our June 8th show has been officially canceled. We’ll celebrate you and all you mean to us next month.
