Tip Tuesday! Chives are easy to grow, and super versatile. Consider topping your scrambled eggs, baked sweet potato, making a fresh dip, or sauce over chicken. Chives are super easy to freeze too thanks to their hollow tubular shape. Have fun trying this tip as we welcome in spring time!

Here’s a sneak peak at our up-coming class Feb 21 . We are so encouraged by the diversity of herbs that will come back year after year in our mild 8b growing zone. It’s really fun to add these herbs to your cut flower garden or landscape and enjoy the aroma and pollinator traffic that’s drawn by these beautiful and delicious plants! If you need a local source for your herb plants, Eileen is a great place to start!

School is back in session! Home economics that is!
While there is a ton of information online about
basic skills, there is nothing like gathering with like-minded people to learn and share with one another.
We will be having a meet and greet Wednesday January 17th at
6 pm. Location will be at Upstairs Hampstead, and we will be
brainstorming and developing details for bi-monthly
homestead/homemakers/home economics workshops.
Your voices are so important! Do you have a skill to present? A
suggestion for what you would like to learn? Join us, and help us grow this highly requested workshop! We can’t wait to meet you,
Eileen, Ashley, & Whitney
