The City of De Soto, Kansas recently celebrated the opening of its expanded wastewater treatment plant, doubling capacity from 1.3 million to 2.6 million gallons per day.

Delivered by a joint venture of Burns & McDonnell and CAS Constructors, the $40 million expansion supports continued growth in De Soto, including the new Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America EV battery manufacturing facility.

CAS Constructors was proud to participate in the WCDA Conference, where President Travis Stryker joined industry leaders to share how nine WCDA member firms collaborated with the City of De Soto to deliver critical water and wastewater infrastructure supporting Panasonic’s historic $4 billion battery manufacturing project.

Today, we recognize and remember the bravery, sacrifice, and lasting legacy of those who have served the United States.

During Construction Safety Week, our team at the Valley Center Water Treatment Plant came together to celebrate our shared commitment to safety.

Through safety discussions and shared meals, the week reinforced the importance of looking out for one another and building safety into every task and decision.

Construction Safety Week has officially kicked off with this year’s theme: All In Together — Recognize, Respond, Respect.

We’re starting the week with toolbox talks, trainings and team discussions across our offices and project sites, bringing people together to focus on what it takes to keep each other safe.

The CAS team joined our colleagues at Alberici Constructors and Filanc at the DBIA Water/Wastewater Conference in Grapevine, Texas, connecting with industry partners to advance our shared mission of building critical infrastructure that improves lives and strengthens communities.
