A couple of weeks ago, InterHab Executive Director Meghan Shreve had the opportunity to visit Multi Community Diversified Services in McPherson, and somehow forgot to tell us about it!

Meghan enjoyed spending time with the MCDS team, touring and meeting the Kansans they serve, and visiting the beautiful memorial garden, which continues to grow into a meaningful space for reflection and remembrance. McPherson is such a unique community, and it was wonderful to see the pride, creativity, and commitment to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities firsthand.

Thank you to everyone at MCDS for the warm welcome. InterHab always appreciates the opportunity to connect with our members across Kansas and has been fortunate this summer to see so many members across the state!

Today we were honored to join Governor Kelly for the signing of a proclamation recognizing the 30th Anniversary of the Kansas Developmental Disabilities Reform Act (DDRA).

For 30 years, the DDRA has helped ensure Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the opportunity to live, work, and thrive in their communities. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and remain committed to building on its legacy for the next generation.

Missing a few familiar faces in this photo, but we're proud to celebrate alongside everyone who has helped build the DDRA's incredible 30-year legacy.

You've got a friend in us, too!

Still good advice for summer. As schedules get busier and temperatures rise, don't forget to take care of yourself, too!

Spring is officially here. And while the season is changing, one thing stays constant: the incredible dedication of the caregivers in our community.

But here's your gentle reminder from us:

You can't pour from an empty cup.

This spring, we're encouraging every caregiver to take one small step toward your own wellbeing - whether that's a 10-minute walk, a conversation with a friend, or simply letting yourself rest.

Your health matters too. And a supported caregiver is the greatest gift to the person in your care.

What's one thing you're doing for yourself this spring? Share below.
