Washburn invites the community to join us for our annual Veterans Day celebration tomorrow, Nov. 11, beginning at 11:11 a.m.

The celebration will be in Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center, at 1701 SW Jewell Ave. on Washburn's campus. Masks are required when inside buildings on campus.

The KS National Guard Educational Services Officer will be here to answer questions about benefits and programs. A Westar Energy Veteran Recruiter will also be here to answer questions about resumes and tips for job searching.

Thursday, February 4th in the Mabee Library, the Washburn University Veteran Student Organization is hosting a Chili-Cook Off. Eating is free but donations are being accepted, even if it is just a smile. The event is noon until 2.

Tomorrow in the Union, Washburn Rooms A & B is the Connect and Select Fair. The event is from 10 until 1.

Join us tonight for our meeting in Mabee Library, room 105. We'll be meeting at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thursday is the 2nd workshop for veterans in Mabee Library. It starts at noon and lasts until the last veteran is helped. This workshop will host a veterans advocate from the VFW and a Veterans Student Organization representative.

Tomorrow, 10 Sept 2015, in Mabee Library from Noon to 1:00pm is a workshop for veterans. The workshop is about VA benefits and ebenifits website.
