Attention First Responders! The National Transportation Safety Board released the following video to highlight the on-scene hazards of ballistic parachute recovery systems. See the video below.

We have worked with industry partners to conduct an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Crash Course workshop intended to highlight the unique hazards associated with responding to an aircraft accident or incident. The free workshop is intended for first responders that do not receive aviation training on a regular basis. The information can be lifesaving! The next workshop will be virtual and is scheduled for June 30th with future workshops being planned for various locations around the state. First responders interested in attending can reach out to KDOT Aviation for additional details.
