Unforgiveness will not redeem or restore our relationships, only love can do that. Not insincere niceness or forced pleasantries but rather a genuine, unconditional, I want God’s best for you type of love.

Reconciliation should always be our goal, not to ourselves but to Christ. Unforgiveness is a w**d firmly rooted in the heart, left unchecked it will slowly suffocate the person who carries it. Release the burden of bitterness. Forgive those who have wronged you and ask God to bless them today.

Pray with me🤍

Lord, I forgive _________.
I forgive ________ for (insert offense).
I release ________ from ( my anger,
resentment, bitterness ect.) Please bless ________ and show me how to love them the way that you do, Lord Jesus. Amen
.
•“Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32, NLT 11/20/2020

This came up on my feed this morning. Over the past 7 years I have learned that Forgiveness is one of the greatest tools of inner healing in my life.
There is something powerful to saying it out loud and releasing the negative feelings about that person or situation.
More so than my accusers or past abuser, I have had to insert myself in the blanks.
The most anger and bitterness I have held was toward myself. It effects the way I love my family. I needed to forgive myself, more than once.
There are also times I ask Father God who do I need to forgive today? He has brought up the same person frequently. I ask why again God? I thought I forgave that person. I don’t want to think about that again. He replies, There is so much more. And I get another level of healing that I didn’t even know that I needed.
God sees the hidden hurts and pain we hold on to that we don’t see. Like she said in the post below, unforgiveness is a w**d firmly rooted in the heart left unchecked. It will slowly suffocate the person who carries it.
So forgive and forgive again, not that it erases from your mind what happened but it’s an exchange of peace and Gods love.

I’m looking to the future and it’s bright. Things have been a bit quiet on the Carr Ministries side of things, but our lives have not!

During the shutdown we became the parents of two and couldn’t be happier. Kayla and I have been enjoying our growing family. Knowing that kids take time and energy we have been asking what the future of Carr Ministries looks like and we are thrilled to say we are finding clarity.

I have had it on my heart to continue to produce informative, inspiring, and challenging videos about faith and the Bible. Together Kayla and I are devoting ourselves to prayer consistently and dreaming about local ministry and short-term overseas missions together. It has been on our hearts to partner with a few ministries long term through missions.

All this to say thank you to those who continue to support, encourage, and fund the work that God is doing in and through us. Because of you the Gospel is being shared and disciples are being made.

The cross is an instrument of torture and death. Why would a faith of hope and love use such an infamous means of ex*****on as an icon? ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
With each wrongdoing mankind goes further into debt which we cannot pay. Our good cannot make up for the bad because good is the standard that is required of us. With eternal damnation as the reward for our deeds, only one with a heart of pure love would sacrifice of themselves to pay that debt and redeem us.⁣⠀
⁣⠀
Having done no wrong Jesus suffered to pay our debt in full. His death won our freedom. Having conquered sin and death He in turn nailed the record of our debt to the cross. Now when accusations come against us we have no need to make a defense for ourselves. We simply have to direct our accusers to the cross of Jesus Christ where our hope and victory were won! ⁣⠀
⁣⠀
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:13-14)⁣⠀
