So far 2026 has been an outstanding year for Hubbub Marketing, LLC. With addition of a new client --- International Ship Masters Association --- Hubbub has done work in five states & in Ontario, Canada.
The latest work was for ISMA Chicago Lodge 3 and their Annual Maritime industry Day Thursday. Here's the news release developed & distributed promoting that event.

ISMA Chicago to Host Annual Maritime Industry Day
(Chicago) ---The Chicago Lodge 3 of the International Ship Masters’ Association (ISMA) will hold its annual Maritime Industry Day, in conjunction with the USCG Marine Safety Unit – Chicago, Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel, 5000 W. 127th St., in Alsip.
“For over 20 years, our annual Maritime Industry Day event brings together our regulatory agencies and other industry partners to make presentations on their area of expertise to our industry. This is where our strong, local maritime community can come to learn about new regulations and projects that will affect our waterways for the upcoming season. This is a great event that lends itself to learning and to networking.” said Tom Blakely, ISMA Second Vice President and the chair of the event.
Event organizers expect over 175 maritime professionals to attend. Presenters include Travis Black, from the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD). Mr. Black is the Director of Inland Waterways Gateway & Acting Director of Great Lakes Gateway; The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will have two presenters --- Mike Walsh, Chief, Waterways Project Office, and Kyle Zugel, Chicago Harbor Lockmaster. Errin Howard, Executive Director, We Work the Waterways will present on how they connect students, educators, and the public with maritime careers.
While the event is open to the public, there is a fee to attend. The cost is $65 per person, which does include a buffet lunch.
