I’m a 25-year-old Oregon Licensed Esthetician currently loving every minute of my advanced aesthetics training. I thrive at the crossroads of health, environmental sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. When I’m not in the clinic mastering advanced skin treatments, I’m usually hiking outdoors enjoying the PNW or fine tuning my hydrogel formula.

​About the Invention (Green Shield Fire):
Living in Oregon, and with a fiancé working in wildland firefighting, fire safety is always on my mind. Between my clinical background as an esthetician and learning from my fiancé about the reality of toxic, cancer-causing chemicals in firefighting foams, I saw a critical need for a fire suppression method that protects both our health and the environment. This is the reality which inspired me to create Green Shield Fire. I invented an eco-friendly, skin safe, biodegradable seaweed-based fire suppression hydrogel. It serves as a highly effective, chemical-free and plastic-free alternative to traditional firefighting foams. ​About the America 250 Win:
Green Shield Fire was recently named one of just 10 national winners in the prestigious America 250 startup competition. The America 250 competition is a wonderful non-partisan initiative built on the belief that young people hold the brightest, most impactful ideas for shaping our nation’s future. Winning this $25,000 professional development grant is a massive milestone that is going to help me take my fire suppression hydrogel formula to the next level. Representing Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics at the national level allowed me to highlight how the advanced, scientific training I’m receiving right now fuels the kind of critical thinking needed to solve real-world problems.

As our advanced hybrid coordinator, Alyna helps bridge the gap between online and hands-on learning, making sure students stay on track and feel confident as they grow their skills. You’ll find her assisting on the clinic floor, guiding students, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s also a big part of Fearless Beauties, using her voice to educate, empower, and connect within the industry and is known for her daily affirmations that keep everyone grounded and motivated.
