This is something I have talked to several owners about. Before you get a dog that has to be groomed regularly, please consider the maintenance.

Hematomas are not talked about often, but they do happen from time to time. They can be commonly seen in short coated breeds with floppy ears, and dogs who have to get their ears shaved due to tight matting. A good way to help prevent this from happening is to use a happy hoodie or cut an old tube sock and wrap it around their head placing their ears in it to prevent them from flapping and hitting their head when they shake.
