Introducing Rachel Horne, the new WHSA Cross Country Head Coach! With a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, concentrating in exercise physiology, Rachel's passion for running started early as she ran cross country in middle school and high school at Terrell ISD. She continued her athletic journey by running for Dallas Baptist University's cross country team during her college years. After graduating, she worked with special population groups, providing exercise prescriptions for a cardiologist before choosing to stay home and homeschool her four kids: Grace, Timothy, Elijah, and Zachary. Rachel's rich experience as a former college cross country athlete and her background in exercise science make her an exceptional choice to lead the WHSA Cross Country team to success.
