What does it mean to be devoted to prayer?
What is the difference between corporate prayer and individual prayer?

First Temple leads us into prayer every Sunday.
They prompt us to think of what is on our hearts & pray on it. In Life Class we pray for one another and ask for God to watch over all those we pray for.

Then we pray individually at home, on our own, with our family, with our friends..We pray on the events of the day, praise God for hearing our prayers and thank him for the gift of another day.

What happens when we pray? Do you feel closer to God? Do you feel a connection? Do you feel a sense of hope?

God will answer our prayers. Sometimes it is immediate & sometimes it takes longer. But, he will always give us what we NEED…meaning it may not be what we wanted. It is always his will, not ours.

Lesson: Devoted to Fellowship and the Breaking of Bread
Discussion question: How can I involve myself and include others in the fellowship of our church?

Barnabas, Son of Encouragement. Did he behold a sense of community, fellowship? Yes. Did he bring people together? Yes.
He was: a Sponsor, Mentor, Preacher, Modeler, Missionary, Leader. He was human, perhaps the most important of all. It allowed him to break bread with people, build a sense of community. Did it help that he had a relationship with God? Yes.
Does it help you having a relationship with God to feel a sense of community with people you have known for years or people just met? Yes. God gives his love freely. Shouldn’t we?

Whether or not everyone at your table is on the same faith journey or on one at all, the important thing sharing and breaking bread. Breaking bread..another way of simply sharing our faith and our love for God.
