I woke up from surgery and received news i did not fully comprehend because I was under anesthesia and all that, but when all the pain meds subsided; the real pain hit me. News of my USO JT died fighting cancer. -

Brakes my heart to feel pain so heavy & even difficult to think about what your wife and kids are going through. All I can think about was this night. What you shared with me -during an event my USO held in San Jose a few years ago will live with me forever.
We talked family//football and music. I remember telling you that I was about to give up the music idea because it was revealing things to me I needed to see. And what you said to me made so much sense. You told me to "Keep going UCE and don't worry about non of this. He said "Juggernaut your vision in Family//Football and music is what we need for our people. Don't ever quit Keep going UCE"
Mannn, these words landed hard.-

JT knew how serious I was about the future of our family and our people he always pushed and encouraged me to 'Keep Going'. I remember when you came to Stockton to look for a spot and I was playin at Delta College and was looking to go play at Hawaii. You got me so pumped up about seeing you and Dad at my games -that I had to make that dream come true & it did. Especially when we came to play your here in Frisco-Freezing cold/Windy/Raining SMH & yall still came. Seeing my family in the stands will always be my favorite part about playing football.

It's taking me forever to write post this because of the bond between two USOs. So many deep rooted memories. JT taught me how to see things differently from everybody else. He showed me to how to love certain family members even if you don't know em'. JT even showed all of us how to 'Live Life to the Fullest' and mannnnnn you & DEFINITELY know how to live life to the fullest.
Grateful for you and your legacy JT Maui'a. Grateful for our time here in this life. Grateful for the messages you left. Truly Humbled to know I got you and Pops to consult with when I need it. Blessed By The Best, lol. If you knew JT you how deeply loved and respected he was by his family and community.
JT WAS A LEADER who loved his family beyond all else & all his friends became family. If you knew JT or have met him I hope this brings you comfort. See yall in traffic. Love yall.
