How Often Should I Get a Massage?
It depends. The frequency of appointments is related to the reason for seeing a massage therapist.
Are you needing massage for chronic issues, such as headaches, neck pain, back tension, where there’s no new injury that’s cropped up since your last treatment? Usually 1-2 massages a month are ideal.
Do you have a new injury or an acute problem? A good frequency is weekly for two to three weeks, then your therapist will do a re-assessment. If your injury is improving, you may be able to reduce the frequency to every two weeks, and gradually move to 1-2 massages a month.
If you live in the Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Tempe or Scottsdale area and are looking for the best massage for chronic back pain, neck pain, sports injury or other ailments, contact Arizona Massage and Bodywork. Call or text (602)642-6878 today!

Love golf but hate golfer's elbow?

Golfer’s elbow is similar to tennis elbow, in that it usually takes 6-24 months to heal.

The good news for golf elbow is that adding massage therapy may help to speed up the healing process. Cross friction massage at the tendon helps to stimulate the healing process. Massaging the forearm muscles improves their ability to function and decreases the tension on your inflamed inner elbow tendons. Massage also helps to break down scar tissue formed around the tendon. The massage will also be applied on your upper arm and forearm creating improved blood circulation. Another likely result is that the pain in the elbow is often reduced.

For the best therapeutic massage for golfer’s elbow in the Tempe, Ahwatukee, Scottsdale or Phoenix area, book an appointment with Arizona Massage and Bodywork today. Call or text (602) 642-6878 to book now.

Pain in the Butt?
Sciatica can be caused by tense or injured muscles pressing on your sciatic nerve, leading to pain in your low back, buttocks, and possibly down your leg. Massaging and releasing tension from muscles in the low back, hip, buttocks or leg may help to reduce pressure on your sciatic nerve and lessen symptoms.

Massage also helps to decrease your pain perception by stimulating the release of endorphins. Endorphins boost pleasure and relieve pain, causing an increased feeling of well-being.

For the best massage in the Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Tempe or Scottsdale area, call or text Pilma at Arizona Massage and Bodywork (602) 642-6878.
