Today is Native Nonprofit Day. Did you know Construction in Indian Country is a non-profit organization?

CIIC was created with guidance from Dr. Peterson Zah, the Advisor to the Office of the President of Arizona State University for American Indian Affairs and a committee of individuals from Arizona and New Mexico tribes. Together, they came together to improve the quality of tribally sponsored construction projects and construction management practices on tribal lands.

The committee partnered with ASU's Del E. Webb School of Construction, a program dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service within the construction industry. Together, they recognized that construction reaches far beyond building, encompassing law, business, engineering, architecture, planning, and management.

CIIC thrives because of sponsorships and donations that help keep the organization going and we provide scholarships to tribal students studying construction management and construction engineering.

If you’re looking for a great cause to support today, consider donating and investing in the future of Native construction leadership. Thank you for considering CIIC!
