Architecture at ASU

Huge congratulations to Diébédo Francis Kéré and to the team for winning the Pritzker Architecture Prize for 2022. So well deserved! It was such an inspiring visit and talk for our students and our professional community. . .

One of our 4th year studios was focused around the design of new historical museum for the City of Tempe on a significant site on the south bank of the Rio Salado. This design focused on the relationships between the river, food, and the exchange of culture and knowledge.

Our 500-level M.Arch students this semester were tasked with adaptive reuse and expansion of an existing building. This project proposes converting the US Embassy in Dublin, Ireland into a prototype for a vertical living machine, to address the significant CO2 issues in Dublin, and a unique hotel/hospitality experience for the surrounding businesses and destinations in the area.
