Are you attending the 2016 AzLA Conference this week? Are you interested in Japanese culture and librarianship? If so, join us at the combined Horner Committee / International Interest Group meeting on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. in the Agave Ballroom for two special presentations:
Ms. Masako Iwash*ta, 2016 JLA Horner Fellow, will give a brief presentation on her work as a school librarian and currently a library science professor at Shigakukan University in Kirishima, Japan.
Sarah Kortemeier, 2016 AzLA Special Projects Awardee, will share her experience visiting Japan this past January where she explored "Poetry, Preservation, and Outreach in Japanese Libraries and Cultural Heritage Institutions".
