RTR’s 2025 Ford Bronco ROVR is more than a catalog-built Bronco with bigger tires and accessories. Developed by Vaughn Gittin Jr., Loren Healy, and RTR’s engineering team, the ROVR is designed as a complete adventure-ready package with OEM-level ex*****on. The test vehicle started as a four-door Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch Package and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, with the drivetrain left untouched to preserve reliability and warranty coverage. The optional Fox 2.5 Elite Suspension Package is the standout upgrade, adding FOX Performance Elite shocks, billet upper control arms, an adjustable rear track bar, 37-inch Nitto Recon Grappler tires, and major gains in clearance and trail angles. RTR’s integrated roof rack, rock sliders, rear bumper, spare carrier, lighting, and Mars Rover-inspired graphics round out the build. This particular test vehicle wore Mystichrome from RTR’s Extended Color Palette, an iconic Ford finish that changes dramatically depending on lighting conditions.

Austin St. Onge’s 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser started as a bone-stock daily driver with 220,000 miles, but it quickly turned into something way cooler. The 80 Series now packs a rebuilt 12-valve Cummins 6BT diesel making 275 horsepower and more than 700 lb-ft of torque, backed by an NV4500 five-speed manual and the factory Land Cruiser transfer case. After the Cummins torque proved too much for the original setup, Austin swapped in one-ton axles, including a Chevy kingpin Dana 60 up front and a 14-bolt rear, both rebuilt with ARB Air Lockers and 4.56 gears. A three-link front suspension, King coilovers, four-link rear setup, and 42-inch Goodyear MT/R tires give it trail cred. With radiused fenders, custom sliders, gullwing cargo doors, onboard power, fridge/freezer, and recovery gear, this former soccer mom SUV is now a rad diesel-powered expedition beast.

Driving the AEV FXL........

AEV has finally added a Ford to its lineup with the 2026 Ford FXL, a Super Duty-based package built around off-roading, usefulness, and good looks, of course.

Based on the F-250 or F-350, the FXL conversion costs about $25,000 on top of the truck and can be ordered in multiple trims, cab styles, and wheelbases.

The big deal is the available 40x13.50R18 BFGoodrich HD-Terrain tires, mounted on AEV Katmai DualSport wheels and backed by a 4-inch DualSport suspension lift, Bilstein dampers, HighMark flares, and heavy-duty AEV bumpers.

AEV leaves the Super Duty powertrains alone, which means buyers still get Ford’s strong gas or Power Stroke diesel V8 options.

On the trail and road, the FXL reportedly feels smooth, stable, and well-integrated, proving AEV’s first Ford build is a win.

Who else wouldn't mind a day in the AEV FXL?
