Bleeding emergencies don't wait — and neither should the people nearby.

Today's class included hands-on practice with one of the most important first aid skills there is: controlling life-threatening bleeding.

Students practiced:
🩸 Applying direct pressure to slow or stop severe bleeding

🩹 Wrapping and securing a wound to maintain pressure and protect the injury

These aren't complicated techniques. But practicing them — with real feedback, in a real classroom — is what turns knowledge into confidence.

It’s CPR & AED Awareness Week — and here in Temecula, that hits close to home.

Every year, cardiac arrest strikes without warning. It happens at youth sports games, in grocery stores, at family dinners. The people nearby — neighbors, parents, coaches — are often the only ones who can help before emergency services arrive.

That’s exactly why we’re here.

Every second counts. If you see someone suddenly collapse, become unresponsive, and stop breathing: call 9-1-1, send someone for an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and start CPR.

Even if you’ve never been trained, pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest is better than doing nothing. In many cases, the 9-1-1 operator will walk you through it.

But imagine knowing exactly what to do — without hesitation.

That’s what we teach at Bear CPR. American Red Cross certified, right here in Temecula. A few hours of training. Confidence that lasts a lifetime.
