After many wonderful years serving the community, the Rising Sun Inn has officially closed as the owners prepare for retirement.
We want to sincerely thank our patrons, staff, friends, and families who celebrated weddings, birthdays, holidays, dinners, and countless milestones with us. Being part of this community has meant more to us than words can express. The friendships and relationships built throughout the years made the Rising Sun Inn a very special place.

While our retirement played an important role in this decision, the changing economic landscape and ongoing challenges facing small, locally owned businesses also contributed. We worked hard to continue operating and serving our guests, but ultimately it became clear that we could not sustainably continue for the future.

If there is one thing we hope our journey reminds people, it is the importance of supporting local businesses whenever possible. The restaurants, shops, and establishments that give our communities their character depend on the support of their neighbors. We encourage everyone to continue visiting and supporting their favorite local businesses so they can remain a part of our community for years to come.

An Agreement of Sale has been reached with Franconia Township, which recognizes the historical significance of the property through its connections to the Liberty Bell and the Underground Railroad. We appreciate the Township’s commitment to protecting and preserving an important piece of local history for future generations.

While our chapter at the Rising Sun Inn has come to an end, the memories created here will remain with us forever. Thank you for allowing us to be part of so many meaningful moments.

With gratitude,
The Rising Sun Inn
