Developing Dogs Ca

Story time🥰. I got started in dog training about 12 years ago. I was volunteering at the county shelter in Bakersfield and I had a problem dog at home. One of my motivations was to help owners so less dogs would get surrendered to the shelter, the other was my own reactive dog. I went through Animal Behavior College in 2012 and after that started helping with rescues and shadowing different trainers. To this day, the one thing that always sticks out in my mind when I think about my journey is the empowerment I felt in the very beginning, the moment I realized my relationship with my dog was up to me. I had the control to change things I wasn’t happy with. Now, 12 years later, that is my favorite thing to witness in my clients. The confidence they feel when they realize what they are capable of with their own dogs🙌🏻🐶💗
