Have you observed that some vocalists consistently deliver accurate notes and lyrics, often mastering a piece by the second try? What enables them to sustain such reliability?
This capability relies on some essential skills:
1) An inherent understanding of tonality and the composition of musical sounds.
2) The ability to discern the sound of intervals between scale tones.
3) The competence to swiftly recognize intervals on the musical staff while reading music, extending beyond merely knowing their names and sounds.

FYI - "Gather To Sing" rehearsal on November 14th is cancelled. Resume "Gather To Sing" on November 28th. See you then to sing Christmas Carols! ;-)

Rehearsals are a ca****la so:
1) we can pitch the melody to fit most singers' voices,
2) help those with limited range sing an easy harmony part,
3) encourage singers to listen to each other and blend, and
4) it builds confidence in singing.
-- Because the music is simple and easy, we make it Fun to Sing .
-- With above practices we keep the sound good, clean, and in-tune .
-- Rehearsals are held to 60 to 90 minutes.
