Save Our Tehachapi Mountains

Wow! Hadn't heard of this, anyone else?
Sources close to KCSO say that if Youngblood wins the election, he will quickly retire in 2019 so that his best buddy, a chief in the department and next in line to be Sheriff, will inherit the position. We have not been able to confirm this information.
But apparently, a vote for Donny Youngblood is a vote for someone who you're going to like a whole lot less.

Offshore wind farm costs $150,000 per home currently powered . That’s only about $1,044 per household, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s calculations. This means powering a home with the Block Island wind farm is almost 144 times more expensive than powering a home with the newest U.S. nuclear reactor.
HOW MANY OF YOU LOVE seeing our rural spaces around Tehachapi, our beautiful Tehachapi Mountains and valleys, our sunsets and sunrises, our wildlife, all the urban life and its 'pace' that drew you to this area? Remember what brought you to this spectacular area, how removed you felt from the big city life? Most of you moved from that crowded city life, crime, traffic, long lines, unfriendly people, living in the fast lane, searching for a more peaceful life. How many of you will speak up and try to protect what we have -- you all moved here for? How many can take just a few minutes to read the local paper and see what IS happening to your neighborhood, your city, your county? What your county officials (Planning Dept, and Board of Supervisors in particular) let alone the City of Tehachapi, are injecting into your livelihood? IT IS THE RULE OF THE ROOST unless you speak up, make your opinion be heard.
Have you heard or read in the news about California Condor drowning in water tanks in Stallion Springs (or maybe it was Bear Valley?) Sure you have.... they are in their historical range and looking for food and water, breeding grounds, etc. They are an endangered and protected species. Millions have been spent, in an effort by environmentalists to bring them back from extinction. YOU would be fined if you killed or injured one of them or infringed on their well-being, even accidentally. This isn't just about the Condor, what is next? What is next? Your own personal water wells, the trees on your property... what you can and can't do on your personal property, what protections you feel you should be getting from county services. What does it take to get you to think about what you moved here for? If you aren't willing to take a stand on what you love here, about what you moved her for, then move back to where you came from. It takes a community to speak up, every last persons opinion to preserve what you enjoy here. BE HEARD! Read the Board of Supervisors Agenda of all things. It takes the majority of the community to speak up, or you will NEVER be heard. If you would like links to learn more, message me here.
