Starting July 1, TDL will be reducing Hoopla borrows to 4 per month per patron.

The rising cost of e-books and audiobooks is an industry-wide challenge facing libraries across the country. Digital content pricing models continue to shortchange libraries (and taxpayers), and many libraries are confronting the same difficult decisions.

Several states, including Illinois and Rhode Island, have recently taken legislative steps to address concerns around digital lending costs and licensing practices.

We want to continue providing access to digital materials while also ensuring our resources remain financially sustainable and responsible. Please note that OverDrive/Libby borrowing remains unlimited and continues to be available through your library card.
