Closing out the year with stillness and strength and connection. I wish the same for you all.
So many girls grow up hearing things like:
“She’s just sensitive.”
“She daydreams too much.”
“She’s dramatic.”
“She’s shy.”
“She’s fine… she just needs to try harder.”
But what we now know is this:
🌿 Girls often mask from a very young age. They study social cues, people-please, and force themselves to “fit in,” even when it exhausts their nervous system.
🌿 Their struggles show up internally. Anxiety, perfectionism, fawning, burnout, tummy aches, overthinking, emotional intensity… all the places we tend to overlook.
🌿 AuDHD girls often slip through the cracks. Because they don’t always look like the stereotypes we were taught.
And so they grow up…
✨ Wondering why everything feels harder.
✨ Feeling “too much” or “not enough.”
✨ Blaming themselves for being different.
✨ Becoming the hyper-competent caretakers who are quietly falling apart.
A late diagnosis doesn’t mean you’re behind
It means you finally have a map, a language, and a path back to yourself.
To all the women and girls discovering they are AuDHD later in life:
You were never broken.
You were brilliant, masked, and misunderstood.
And now… you get to breathe.
