🌟 In our FIRST year as Academy 7, 73% of our students met or exceeded their growth goals in BOTH reading AND math — nearly 25 percentage points above the national average.

This kind of growth happens because our students walk through our doors every day ready to learn. It happens because our staff pours their heart into this work. And it happens because our families show up as true partners in this journey.

And the achievement numbers back it up:
-Students performing at or above the national average more than doubled in reading and nearly tripled in math.
- Students performing 2+ grade levels below in reading dropped from 40% to just 11%
-Students performing 2+ grade levels below in math dropped from 33% to 16%

In just one year, Academy 7 students are making significant progress. We are just getting started. 💙

From Covington Parks & Recreation: Calling all little farmers (ages 0–6) 🚜🐄

Join us for Read Ready Covington Early Childhood Fun Fest on June 12 from 4–7PM at the David Housley Pavilion in Randolph Park

This FREE event is designed just for families with young children and will feature hands-on activities, a petting zoo, and a chance to connect with local community resources.

Children can lose up to two months of reading skills over the summer. It’s a real thing called the summer slide, but the antidote is simple:

✨ Just 15–20 minutes of reading a day. ✨
That’s it! Whether it’s a comic book, a chapter of a fantasy novel, or bedtime stories together, keeping pages turning keeps their brains sharp and ready for the next school year.

3 Quick Tips to Make it Easy:
1. Let them choose: Graphic novels, audiobooks, and magazines all count!
2. Model the behavior: Grab your own book and have a family reading power-hour (or power-20-minutes).
3. Visit the library: It’s free, air-conditioned, and packed with summer reading challenges.

Academy 7 is hiring!

We are looking for a part-time teacher to join our team.

• Must be certified in any state
• Elementary experience preferred but not a deal breaker
• 2 days a week (8:30-2:15)
• Must have an open mind to microschooling
