On Saturday, June 6, we celebrated our incredible Seniors at their Commencement! 👏🎉

And that evening, thanks to the Hackley Advancement team, the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge lit up in Hackley yellow and white in honor of the Class of 2026. 🖤💛🩶🐝

This is the beginning of a beautiful journey, and we are so proud of you! Go forth and spread beauty and light.🎓

Hackley recently honored our seniors who committed to compete at the collegiate level at our third annual College Signing Day.

Congratulations to our talented and skilled Hornets: Shaun Kim (fencing, Harvard), Inkosi Brou (fencing, MIT), Elan Suttiratana (squash, MIT), Macey McLane (cross country/track, University of Chicago), Ella Chen (swimming, Johns Hopkins), Gabriella Petriello (soccer, Trinity), Skylar van Eck (squash, Brown), Ari Spiegel (track and field, Wesleyan) and Jack Hiscoe (track and field, Oberlin), as well as Zena Hume (lacrosse, Wheaton; not pictured).

What better time than Teacher Appreciation Week to announce that Upper School History teacher and Senior Class dean Melissa Stanek '90 has been awarded this year’s Anton and Lydia Rice Inspirational Teaching Award!

The award is presented each year to a member of Hackley’s faculty who, in the estimation of the Senior Class, "has lit and sustained the fire of learning and inspiration, stimulated their intellectual curiosity, and inspired them in positive ways to seize the day and grasp the challenges they will face in the years ahead."
