Go The Adventure Way

Spent the day exploring and relaxing as a couple in Greensboro, NC last Saturday. First, if you want to eat at a popular eatery you should probably call ahead and get your name on a list. We didn’t, but we were able to explore some while we waited. The Arboretum was beautiful this time of year to take a morning stroll. There are tons of pretty parks to check out here- we have a few more on our list to get to! Scrambled Southern Kitchen did not disappoint- everything we ate there was amazing. We also stumbled upon a fun outdoor festival, walked downtown and checked out Woolworth’s for the first time. We finished the day at Yum Yum’s ice cream on the campus of UNC Greensboro. Take those rest days when you can!!

Fort Frederica National Monument! Located in St Simons Island, GA - another town that should be on your list to visit. This is an historical park highlighting a British town and fort but also the natural beauty here will draw you in. We loved exploring the grounds first thing in the morning. Get there early and avoid the heat and have the park to yourself! Another tip is to stop across the street at the Methodist church to walk their gardens and visit their beautiful chapel. Day 1 of driving down the Natchez Trace Parkway. Spent a lot of time chasing waterfalls and small towns along the way. Franklin, Tennessee is super cool, a great town to check out when you are around Nashville. Ended up taking a detour to Shiloh to grab our 95th National Park stamp. That is a pretty massive site - 5,000 acres - so if you want to check it out expect to spend at least a couple of hours there. Excited for day 2!
