The Queen’s Advice 👑: Don’t Buy Followers. Build Trust.

Today I was scanning Instagram accounts with one of my mentees, showing them what to look for. Many times, social media is smoke and mirrors.

A huge following doesn’t always mean a huge impact.

When you start looking closely, you’ll sometimes notice accounts with hundreds of thousands—or even millions—of followers, but very little genuine engagement. Other times the comments don’t seem authentic or the engagement patterns don’t match the audience.

Could some of it be real? Absolutely.

Could some of it be purchased? Also yes.

My advice? Don’t pay for followers, likes, or comments.

If someone even offers to “gift” you a few thousand followers, I’d politely ask them not to. I’d rather earn every single person in my community than wonder who’s actually here.

Now… I do believe in “fake it till you make it”… but not the way social media often defines it. 😂

My version is smiling even when life is hard because I know smiling can help shift my physiology. I take deep breaths before I feel calm. I stand tall before I feel confident. I intentionally create the internal chemistry I want to experience.

That’s very different from paying for an image that isn’t real.

One builds you.

The other builds an illusion.

Keep showing up.
Keep serving.
Keep learning.
Your people will find you.

Because at the end of the day, I’d rather have 1,000 people who truly care than 100,000 who never wanted to be there in the first place.

👑 Authenticity compounds. Integrity scales.

My son wasn’t feeling his best today, so I convinced him to do a red light therapy session with me.

I downloaded the audio afterward, and I couldn’t stop laughing because I realized I was saying the exact same things I tell my patients every day:

“Relax. Breathe. Your posture matters. Light matters. Your daily habits matter.”

This isn’t just something I teach—it’s the way I choose to live.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is to pay attention to whether someone’s lifestyle aligns with the advice they give. We all have moments of imperfection, but if a health professional consistently doesn’t practice the fundamentals they recommend, it’s worth asking why.

Whether it’s food quality, movement, sleep, light exposure, stress management, or the environment we create around ourselves, these choices influence how we feel. The energy we bring into our work often reflects the habits we practice in our own lives.

I believe in leading by example. That’s why I strive to live the principles I share with my patients—not because I’m perfect, but because I genuinely believe they’re worth practicing.

Healing isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency.
